Kimchi is a traditional Korean dish made from fermented vegetables, usually napa cabbage and mooli, seasoned with chilli, garlic, and ginger. Naturally probiotic, it supports gut health while delivering a tangy, complex flavour. It’s enjoyed as a side dish or in meals like kimchi stew and kimchi fried rice.
Our kimchi’s flavour profile comes from Chungnam, Korea – so you can enjoy the taste of my hometown without travelling there.
Our kimchi is different because we only use the highest quality, premium ingredients: Trapani unrefined sea salt, gochugaru, mineral water, fresh ingredients, with no added sugars, no powders, no preservatives, no nonsense – and it’s unpasteurised.
We also provide catering and wholesale orders, so whether you need kimchi for an event, a restaurant, or retail shelves.
MiJi, a South Korean kimchi queen, ensures the authenticity of our fermented products through her extensive knowledge of traditional fermentation. Alex, a London native, manages logistics, branding, and accounts. Together, they form a dynamic team combining cultural expertise, culinary innovation, and business acumen, driving OKTO’s success with a shared passion for fermented foods.
The name OKTO, inspired by Korean folklore’s moon rabbit creating elixirs for others, embodies our spirit: creating nourishing foods with patience, honesty, and purpose.
